Company founders
The founders of Professional Publishing Finland have extensive experience with the Finnish education system, various educational and other organizations, and their leadership. They have worked as consultants and trainers around the world, and the idea for this company was born from a desire to make this expertise more widely available.
The company was established to share this knowledge and know-how with those interested in the success of their organizations as well as in their own personal development.

Dr. Lauri Tuomi
Lauri has over 25 years of experience in the Finnish education system. Through his career, he has gained broad expertise, starting from teaching roles to senior management positions in vocational education and universities of applied sciences.
He has worked at the Finnish National Agency for Education, including as Director of the Education Finland program. Currently, he serves as CEO of the Finnish Lifelong Learning Foundation (Kvs Foundation). He is also a board member in several organizations in Finland and Europe, including serving as Vice President of the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA).
Lauri holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and has a teaching qualification in pedagogy. He has written extensively and provided coaching particularly in leadership, education, and innovation. His coaching work spans both Finland and abroad. He has also been invited as a keynote speaker to international conferences and seminars in South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Dr. Ritva Laakso-Manninen
Ritva has 30 years of leadership experience in higher education as well as in the IT services and banking sectors. She served as President and CEO of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences for 16 years. She has chaired Arene (Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences) and held several other board chair and member positions.
She has long-standing experience as a member of the German Council of Higher Education and has been involved in international higher education development projects in Ireland, South Africa, and Colombia.
In her research, she has specialized in leadership and has written on topics such as strategic and competence leadership as well as sustainable renewal.

Official Partner of the Education Finland Program
The Education Finland program offers companies, education providers, and other education export actors information on new business opportunities, provides training, develops export competence, and promotes the visibility of the Finnish education system worldwide. In addition, the program develops new, broader service concepts together with education export actors.
The Education Finland program is coordinated by the Finnish National Agency for Education and funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
